100 MILLION sharks are killed every year.

I am 8 years old and in the third grade. I have been fascinated by sharks ever since I learned to read. I love to read books and watch videos about them. When I was in kindergarten, I read a book from the Magic Tree House series called “Sharks and Other Predators.”

As I was reading, I learned that over 100 MILLION sharks are killed every year due to things like shark finning, overfishing, and pollution.

When I found out that so many sharks are now either extinct or on the verge of extinction, I knew I had to do something to help. You can help, too!
